Concert Reviews

Ok, its time to do the reviews of the concerts.

Day 1

The Ting Tings + Cajun Dance Party + Black Kids

Well, we didn't get there on time so all we saw was a couple of songs by the ting tings... They were OK, thank god we didn't pay for the tickets!

La Cigale
Day 2

Foals + The Virgins + Soko + Seasick Steve + Friendly Fires

I must say that I was quite surprised by Friendly Fires, i mean, i liked them before the concert but live they blew my mind! The truth is that Ed, Jack and Edd put on a great show, there energy on stage was amazing. They made the audience dance and shout even if they didn't know their lyrics. Ed Macfarlane's crazy dance moves got all of us wondering if this was just a dream or if this guy was actually like that, while Edd was completly in his world doing his thing delighting us with the sounds of his guitar! However, i was quite dissappointed that they didn't play Lovesick, oh well, next time!

Day 3

Cut Copy + Kennedy + Late Of The Pier + Metronomy + Hot Chip

This was definitely my favourite day! As you all know I've been waiting for this concert for months and it was mostly for Cut Copy and Late Of The Pier, and i must admit they didnt let me down! The first to go were Cut Copy, and they were just amazing, i can't think of anyone better to start the day!
Dan Whitford, is a genious but we already knew that! They started with Fell the Love, and started increasing the rythm towards Lights and Music, when everyone finally started singing their songs! I really enjoyed Dan's hand movements while Tim made his guitar fly and Mitchell moved his head as if he was possessed, definetly some kick-ass moves there boys!

Next where Kennedy, but i went out for a while...  and then Late Of the Pier where on.

They were amazing too, they brought and incredible energy with them and the audience was very pleased to see them. Surprisingly enough everyone knew their songs and was singing and dancing (something cut copy didn't have...) Everyone went absolutely crazy when the trible beats of The Bears Are Coming came up. I thought i was really sweet of them that they thanked Cut Copy and that they dedicated their show to them as they were their main influence...

Late Of The Pier

Dinner was Metronomy, so i guess i missed them too..

Cook Pigs

Then came the closing act: Hot Chip. I can't think of a better Hot Chipper than Ale, she knows ALL the songs by heart, and i swear the whole concert was better just for the look on her face. As we all expected, they were really good, however, Cut and Late were better for me .. Sorry Ale..

It was definetly a great day!
