FINALLY TAME IMPALA

I've been following this band for AGES now and they are finally releasing their first LP called Innerspeaker.
For those of you who don't know them, get a move on and visit their Myspace and official web.

Get a peek of their work on the released "INNERSPEAKER EPISODES"

Record Makers App

Ok, I'm a BB fan and I would never buy an iPhone. Having said that I want this application sooo badly!

It has been developped by French record label Record Makers due to their 10th Anniversary. This label represents artists like Sebastien Tellier, Acid Wash, I love UFO and Sex In Dallas. The application consists of a series of drawings that are divided in 3 sections and can be matched with one finger. Drawings are made by renown artists Mrzyk & Moriceau, here are some examples of their work:

Inside The Studio

Ever since I started reading The Selby's photoblog I wandered what HIS house would look like. Now Style.com has done a short video going into his studio. It may not be his house but it is just as good!
It is def. a good interview, his studio is messy and an amazing creative space, filled with those little things he likes to look for in other people's houses!

Oh Todd, you do not look wanky at all!

Jamaica

They're Parisian and were first called Poney Poney and created a LP called When Do You Wanna Stop Working?. This band was good. Now they've signed with Ed Banger Records and have changed their name to Jamaica. This band is cool. Here is their first single, produced by Xavier de Rosnay from Justice.

Pharrell's "The Tank"

Pharrell Williams, musician, producer, "fashion designer” has now decided to explore yet another field of the creative world. He has designed "The Tank" chair, a limited collection that comes in 4 colours and that you can buy at Colette for only 17350€…

I find it funny that he chose a tank as inspiration for a chair, considering that he is American and against the war…I guess it's one of those things I can't wrap my mind around, I mean, inspiration just comes, but why choose something that you consider negative as the main idea behind your first industrial design project which, surely, you want it to turn out to be a success? Wouldn't that screw it up? or jinx it? like mess with your magnetic-guru-supersticious-cosmos-wave-field-stuff and result in a bad career just because the first one went against your personal ideas? I don't know... Probably I'm just reading to much into something that in reality has no substance behind it; it is what it is.

It's just not quite my cup of tea...
